Oh my gosh my heart dropped when I saw the title on this. I’m so sorry for your loss—losing a tiny, soulful dog is a specific kind of awful. You gave her such a beautiful life and I know she was supposed spend these years with you.
Who could not love her? I did want to share that having a wake for her was really helpful for me. I was shocked that people came, but people did such sweet things-my aunt drove from another state, and my husband’s corporate lawyer best friend who has never had a dog showed up with a whole cake. We did little toasts to our girl and ate food and just spent time with the people who loved her.
Will be thinking of you, so very sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved cat of 14 years a couple weeks ago and it's been a specific kind of grief that can be hard to explain to people. Know that you're not alone and Yaya made an impact that is appreciated by many!
